Branding & Mural Design

Challenge

The goal was to create a bold and unique visual identity through branding, mural design, print, and merchandise that would resonate with both in-person diners and a wider digital audience. The design had to contribute to the restaurant’s atmosphere while also generating online buzz and driving foot traffic.

Goal

The primary goal was to develop a distinct and cohesive brand identity for Springlake Shopping Centre that would enhance visitor experience, create a navigation system through effective wayfinding, and engage the community through digital marketing and event design. The aim was to create a memorable brand presence that would drive foot traffic and foster a strong connection with the local community.

Solution

I collaborated with the restaurant owner and interior design team Blackmilk to develop a vibrant brand identity, centered around a striking mural and neon signage that brought the space to life. The mural served as a focal point, inspiring the rest of the design collateral and merchandise. This visual identity quickly became a viral hit, with diners sharing their experience on TikTok and other platforms, turning Izakaya Rin into a local sensation. The eye-catching design not only enhanced the restaurant’s ambiance but also boosted its popularity, establishing it as a standout dining destination in Caroline Springs.
